10 Gorgeous Farmhouse Entryway Design Ideas

One of my favorite parts of my work is seeing the ways that all of you style my pillows in your homes! I'm always so blown away by the talent and artistic vision that you put into your spaces, and it's so fun to be able to share your work! Today I'm talking about one of the most difficult places to style: entryways! So many times we're working with awkward configurations, kid backpacks and dirty shoes, and we're trying to balance design and function. It's the first look that our guests get at our homes, and we want it to be gorgeous! 

So today I'm sharing YOUR work. I'm gathering up all my favorite entryways that you all have styled with my Linen & Ivory pillows, and pulling out some of the best practices and style tips that you're all using! Enjoy!

How cute are those?! Here are some of the tips that I've pulled out from these amazing homes: 

1. Start with a Bench

(or a chair, accent table, or chest) 
Start with the biggest piece that will perfectly fit the space. This part is important, as you don't want to overwhelm a space with a piece that is too big, but you also don't want a piece to look tiny in a huge space. Find something made for your space. My favorite is that antique church pew! What a perfect idea! 

2. Wall Art

Find some wall art that really shows off the style of your home. Again, this is the first taste that people are getting of your home! So choose something that really feels like you. A piece of art or big statement mirror is perfect here. 

 

3. Greenery

Brighten things up a bit! Make your home look alive and updated with some fresh plants. Whether you go with cut flowers, a magnolia wreath, or potted plants, anything will make a huge difference! 

 

4. A Linen & Ivory Pillow! 

Clearly this is the perfect piece to finish off your space! I mean I may be biased, but I think there's no better way to style an entryway.
